Our Business, ICT and Creative Technologies Faculty hosted a fantastic Scottish Lunch on Monday 28th November for parents of some of our S1 pupils. We were delighted that the Convenor of Education, Councillor McNally and Councillor Curran were able to attend the event together with a representative from St Andrew’s Hospice and a North Lanarkshire dance group. Our guests were treated to freshly made soup and scones made by our senior Hospitality students and they were able to enjoy Scottish dance and music provided by our talented dance students and our World Championship winning pipers. A huge thanks to all the staff and pupils who organised the event and to all of our guests for supporting our young people.
Remember to get your tickets for Strictly Bellshill, in aid of Malawi and St Andrews Hospice. Tickets are on sale from Miss Ainslie £4 for Adults and £2 for Children/Concession. The show is on Thursday 8th December at 7pm.
Winter Market and Christmas Concert
Our Market and Concert will take place on Thursday 15th December. The market will have a range of stalls selling homeware goods including jams, chutneys, Christmas cards, decorations, jewelry and much more. The Concert will follow at 8pm. Please come along and support our pupils and help raise money for a range of very worthwhile causes.
All senior students had the opportunity to take part in exam preparation workshops last week. The workshops were delivered by the motivational speaker group Live & Learn. The workshops which focused on study techniques, relaxation and strategies on handling exam stress were a great success.
The Barbarians are back!
We are delighted to say that the Barbarians have restarted training on Wednesdays. All the arrangements are exactly the same as before and S1-S4 pupils are welcome to join us, even if you have never played before. Remember to wrap up well and bring your gum shield.
