The Bellshill Academy outdoor education group took part in a day walk to New Lanark, walking along the Clyde Valley to the Corra Linn waterfall. They navigated their way through the forest trails and learned how the River Clyde has shaped this area of Scotland. The group then put up tents and cooked a range of food on the outdoor stoves – sausage pasta, chicken noodles, hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. The group had an enjoyable day, despite the dull, wet weather. The group are looking forward to doing more walks in the near future and taking part in an outdoor education day in the school later this month.
