“Drop Everything and Read”

During Tutor Time this week all senior pupils have been taking part in the “Drop Everything and Read” initiative.

 Geography Research Work

Senior students preparing for National 5 and Higher Geography are taking part in research work within the local community over the next two weeks.

 Hairspray

Rehearsals for our school show started on Monday 1st February and will take place on Mondays at 12.55pm in room 54 and Tuesdays after school (3.30-4.30) in the Assembly Hall. Everyone is welcome, and no auditions are required to take part.

S5/6 PUPILS – BEN NEVIS CLIMB

The Charity Committee are arranging for senior students to take part in the Ben Nevis climb to raise money for St Andrew’s Hospice. Interested students should give their names to either Miss Simonini or Mr Clark in P.E. The climb will take place on Saturday 4th June and although this seems a while away there are limited places for participants. These places will be given on a first come, first served basis so please give your name as soon as possible.

 Learning Targets

Senior students have completed their Prelim examinations and are currently meeting with their teachers to talk about their progress and set new learning targets.

There will be a Parents Meeting for pupils in S3 on Thursday 18th February and Reports for pupils in S2 – S6 will be available on 25th February.

New PE Fitness and Dance Suite

Our new Fitness and Dance suite is close to completion and our PE staff have had a preview of the fantastic facilities which will be available before the end of this term.
