Thankyou to all of the P7 pupils and parents

Many thanks to all of the P7 pupils and parents from Lawmuir, Mossend and Noble Primary Schools who attended our Open evening on Wednesday 9th September. We had a fantastic turnout on the evening and feedback from all involved was excellent. Pupils and parents had the opportunity to visit all of our departments and meet our teaching and support staff. Parents and pupils also had the opportunity to visit our new Art and Design suite. St Andrew’s Bake Sale
Our St Andrew’s Hospice Ambassadors will hold a bake sale during interval on Tuesday 22nd September to raise funds for the Hospice.

Aiming Higher in Malawi
Aiming Higher in Malawi have organised a Sponsored walk on Sunday 27th September at 11am, starting at Drumpellier Rugby and Cricket Club, in Coatbridge. If any pupil S4-S6 would like to take part, and help us to raise funds for our upcoming trip to Malawi, please see Miss Ainslie.

Supported Study
Many of our after school supported study classes are now up and running and we would encourage all of our senior students to attend the wide range of classes on offer.

We are delighted that two of our senior students, Emma Bridgewater and Chloe Watson will represent Bellshill Academy on the visit to Auschwitz this session. Mrs Fiona Higgins, Acting Principal Teacher Pupil Support, would like to thank all of the students who applied.

The Bellshill Barbarians Rugby
Bellshill Barbarians, our after school rugby club, trains on Tuesday after school and is open to all S1, S2, S3 & S4 boys. We will be joined by players from Cardinal Newman on Tuesday and we have our first game in 2 weeks time. For more information on the club and to get a consent form please talk to Mr Dougie Clark in PE.

Staff versus Pupils
The PE dept. are running a staff v senior pupils activity every Tuesday lunchtime. The activity will change every month. The first activity is Badminton starting next Tuesday.

Pupil Council
The first meeting of our new Pupil Council will take place on 24th September.
