S3/S4 Pupils’ Dance Workshop
On Monday 7th March, National 5 Dance pupils from third and fourth year participated in a full day workshop run by YDance Company. This day was aimed at giving girls the experience of dance development and performance and as part of this they were given the fantastic opportunity of applying to become a young dance leader. Girls who are selected will take part in a 4 day course run by YDance during the Easter break. The day consisted of fun activities as well as the pupils being lead through Hip Hop and Contemporary dances. Throughout the day the girls involved worked extremely hard and developed their confidence and self-belief along with their technical skills.
This event took place in Bellshill Academy’s new Dance studio which made a huge contribution to the positive ethos and enjoyable environment that was displayed throughout the day.
