Sporting Success
We are delighted to hear that Jamie Rankin has been selected to be a Queen’s Baton Carrier for the Commonwealth Games.
Jamie is a very proactive and hardworking pupil within the Academy. This year, Jamie has given up his own time to help with the S2 football team, taking training sessions and coaching games. He also competes with the School Rugby team and has captained the side on many occasions. For work experience Jamie chose to work with the local ASC. He carried out every task to the highest standard and even worked late on several nights to help coach primary children. A very deserving Baton Bearer as at a young age he has already given back so much to sport.

P7 Teambuilding and Problem Solving Event.
Senior students welcomed P7 pupils for all of our associated primaries to a teambuilding and problem solving event at the Academy on Wednesday 2nd April.
Everyone involved had a fantastic morning. Many thanks to Mrs Lesley Heffernan, Principal Teacher Business, ICT and Enterprise, for organising the event and to all of our Partner Primary Schools for their support.
S3 Transition Evening
Many thanks to all of the parents who came along to our transition information evening on Wednesday 2nd April. The evening was very well attended and parents had the opportunity to take part in a presentation from Mr George Webb, Depute Head Teacher, which explained the programme of support which will be put into place for each S3 pupil as the transfer from S3 to the Senior Phase of their education.
Parent Council AGM
The AGM will take place on Monday 28th April at 6.30pm. All welcome.
Happy Easter
