S1 Parents’ Information Evening
On Wednesday parents and carers of S1 pupils had the opportunity to speak to their son/daughter’s teachers during our Parents’ Information Evening. The evening, which was organised by Mr John Johnston, DHT, was a great success with a fantastic turnout of parents and carers.

Preparing for Work
We are delighted that a group of potential school leavers have been given the opportunity to be out of class for the next 3 weeks on a Tuesday afternoon to take part in a “Routes to work” workshop. This will be great preparation to ensure that they are ready for the next step in moving into the workplace.
A large number of senior students, with the support of our Partnership Officers, have done very well and embraced a number of opportunities to volunteer in a range of Leadership activities within the school and local community. Much of the work involves senior students supporting younger pupils as mentors. (Seniors working with pupils on a Health and Wellbeing project). Many are on track to complete up to 200 hours towards the prestigious Saltire Award.
Last week senior students held a very successful cake sale in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice. The committee are currently collecting food parcels to be delivered to members of our community.
